The Washington Insiders announced today that they have updated their primary logo for the upcoming 2024 season, and also introduce a new secondary logo. "With having brought in a championship we felt this was a good time to freshen things up, while we have some strong momentum as a franchise. The updates build on our previous look and history in this city while also giving us something a little bit new," explained team officials at the unveiling.
The primary remains the classic outlined pentagon with 5 laces along the top-right edge containing the DC flag inspired stripes and stars over a DC map outline within the pentagon. The changes to the logo (the old can be seen below) include a lighter shade of green, changing the shape of the football laces to obelisks, a new wordmark font, and a slight gradient over the gold elements giving it a slightly reflective appearance. The words are now also each a solid color instead of changing to follow the edge of the background map outline.
The secondary logo uses similar elements to the primary in different ways; the DC border outline in the secondary now forms the majority of the logo's shape along with the overlapping football, which contains the flag-inspired stripes and stars seen in the pentagon of the primary logo. The secondary features the same gradient effect over the gold as the updated primary logo.

The Insiders confirmed that the team's helmets will be slightly updated for the new shade of green but otherwise maintain the design they've used the past few seasons, but also hinted that new uniforms may accompany the update and could include a secondary helmet if the right design comes along.
